PieH Students prepare for school
Among the rubble, death, violence, and sickness in Haiti, PieH students are preparing to go back to school, one constant in their lives. Haiti, an already impoverished country, recently suffered from political unrest, gang violence, the assassination of its president, and a 7.2 magnitude earthquake. There is so much suffering. In Haiti, education is not free, and most Haitian parents cannot afford to send their children to school. PieH is committed to reenrolling its scholarship recipients in school, despite all of the recent upheavals, with the premise that education is a variable to beat poverty and oppression.

Recently we met with students and program assistant via zoom
Due to Covid restrictions and security concerns, we have not been able to travel to Haiti for over a year. However, our program assistant Edome Orvilus keeps the program operating smoothly and efficiently and advocates for our students and their families. In addition, we stay in constant contact with Edome via WhatsApp and are able to meet with students via zoom.
Please give a child an educational opportunity
Two dollars a day covers the cost of tuition, books, and uniforms for one student for a school year. It’s an investment in a life that would not otherwise have an opportunity for an education. Click our donate button to see the many ways you can give.
